A researcher mainly engaged in genetic-basis analysis of important economic traits of broilers, research of breeding technology, and development of new breeds. Dr. Wen serves as deputy director of Institute of Animal Sciences of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences(CAAS), chief scientist for the National Broilers Industry Technology System, director of the Expert Committee of National Broiler Genetic Improvement Program, vice chairman of the Poultry Branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, member of the poultry panel of the National Livestock Genetic Resources Committee, member of the Review Group of Animal Husbandry Discipline of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.

Nan-Dirk Mulder joined Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Advisory and Research department (FAR) in 2001. He is Senior Global Specialist Animal Protein and has worked with many of the leading animal protein companies in the world. He is based in Rabobank’s headquarter in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Nan-Dirk graduated in agricultural economics, marketing and market research from the Netherlands’ Wageningen Agricultural University in 1996. Before his appointment at Rabobank International, Nan-Dirk worked for the Product Boards for Livestock, Meat and Eggs (PVE) and the Agricultural Economic Research Institute (LEI) in the Netherlands. He was also Member of Livestock Management and Expert Committees at the European Commission.

Since joining Rabobank International, Nan-Dirk advises the bank on global commitments in the animal protein industry. He has been also involved in the bank’s many advisory and research activities in the animal protein industry where he has been specializing in strategic issues in these industries. Nan-Dirk has advised and participated in projects on all continents of the world. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and seminars.

Mr. Haiqian Huang joined China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products (CFNA) in 2003, and has served as senior industry consultant of the Meat & Fishery Department of CFNA, and deputy secretary general of its Poultry Meat Branch & Meat Branch. He currently serves as deputy director of the Meat and Seafood Department, CFNA.

Mr. Huang has nearly 20 years of management experience in the international meat trade industry, witnessing and promoting the opening of Chinese poultry meat market to Japan and the European Union. Many international conferences he oversaw have become a beacon to the meat industry, actively promoting the healthy and sustainable development of livestock imports and exports.

Mr. Wang has been engaged in LCA/carbon footprint research, education popularization, and international exchanges and cooperation at Sichuan University since 1995. He became a board member of UNEP Life Cycle Initiative in 2010 and was deeply involved in the study of LCA systems such as Global guidance principles for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) databases and the International Reference Life Cycle Data System (ILCD) Guidelines.

He organized the development of China’s first LCA/carbon footprint database Chinese Life Cycle Database, or CLCD, and won the first place in the 2009 UNEP-SETAC LCA Award. The database was officially released in 2010 and is the only Chinese database adopted by the WRI GHG Protocol standard.

In 2020, Mr. Wang initiated the establishment of the Special Committee on Whole Life Cycle Green Management of China Electronic Energy Saving Technology Association and serves as its head. The Committee now has more than 110 member units, providing carbon neutral related services to thousands of leading enterprises.

Mr. Jinsheng Wang, a senior livestock farming specialist engaged in animal husbandry industry for 36 years, with rich experience in scientific research, production, and business management. He is a leading figure in China’s white-feather broiler industry. He also served as the head of Beijing Comprehensive Test Station of National Broilers Industry Technology System, vice chairman of Chia Tai Group (China Area), and executive director of Shandong Fengxiang Co., Ltd.

He has presided over and completed various independent R & D projects, published 32 professional papers, and obtained 28 patents in total. His main innovative achievements include chicken house intelligent environmental control technology, chicken house dry cleaning technology, chicken house harmless poultry waste disposal methods, and harmless decomposition technology for dead birds.

Wanmeng Li was a Huazhong Agricultural University student majored in veterinary from 1980 to 1988 and graduated with a master degree. He joined Wuhan Broiler Union Company after graduation and engaged in veterinary, poultry production management and administration successively and set up state grade-2 enterprises such as Wuhan Mai Xiang Ju. In 1995, Wanmeng Li started systematic learning and experiencing in the technical market of animal health protection products at Intervet. Wanmeng Li joined Merial Animal Health since 2001, he has been the head of technology, marketing, business and Merial China. Currently, he is the China Country Manager of Ceva Animal Health.
